Andre Berto has done it again in a devastating vicorty over Cosme. Eventhough Berto took a shocking fall to the canvas he still destroyed Cosme the entire bout. He every single round and looked really great. The good news is that Andre Berto is still undeafeated and on the road to a big fight. I wish him good luck.

Andre Berto Scheduled To Find

My long time boxing partner, Andre Berto is scheduled to Friday June 26 at 9pm on ESPN 2. Berto is a very terrific fighter and a champion in the making. His record is 18-0 with 16 knockouts not going over the fourth round. Is one of the best fighter out there. I hope you enjoy the fight.

Williams Beats Margarito

A new star was born at the Home Depot Center in Carson, California as Paul "The Punisher" Williams (33-0, 24 KOs) of Augusta, GA won a unanimous decision over Antonio Margarito (34-5, 24 KOs) from Tijuana, Mexico to win the WBO welterweight title.

The fight was a back and forth battle of big punches and big wills. Williams may be one of the most active fighters in the sport. He threw 1256 punches over the twelve round contest against the man that both Floyd Mayweather, Jr. and Shane Mosley turned down to fight.

Margarito had a lot of trouble with Williams' height of 6'2 (some say 6'1), his reach of 83 inches and his southpaw style. To make matters worse, Williams was throwing over 100 punches per round, giving Margarito few occasions to jump in with his own counters.

The first half of the fight was dominated by Williams' higher punch output. Not all of the punches were landing, but he was throwing so many that any official judge would find it very hard not to give him the rounds. Margarito did plenty of damage with his bodyshots, making Williams double over at times from the force of the blows.

Williams also used a lot of movement to circle Margarito with his jab and fire off that jab with quick combinations. When he began to slow down, he stood his ground and went toe to toe with tough Mexican hitter, sometimes getting the better of the exchanges.

The defining moment of the fight came in the eleventh round. Margarito sensing that he needed to close the show big, began blistering Williams with a high volume of power punches to the head and body, opening a big cut above the left eye of Williams in the process. Williams showed that he was for real by hanging on and weathering a storm that would broken down a lot of other men.

Unknown to the combatants, the fight was on the table in the final round. Williams came out in the twelfth like he was the man who needed it more. He was began to once again circle around and pepper Margarito with a jab that was followed by quick combinations to steal the round from the charging champion.

The final scores were 116-112, 115-113 and 115-113.

BERNARD HOPKINS BATTLES WINKY WRIGHT

A true legend of the game and a future Hall of Famer, the Philadelphia native Bernard ‘The Executioner’ Hopkins (47-4-1, 32 KOs) ruled the middleweight division for over a decade and defended his title a record 20 times, defeating the likes of Oscar De La Hoya, Felix Trinidad, William Joppy, and Glen Johnson. In 2005, he would lose his title in controversial fashion to Jermain Taylor, and after another disputed loss in their rematch, many believed Hopkins’ best days had passed. But in June of 2006, at the age of 41, the Philadelphia native moved up in weight for the first time in his career and was brilliant dominating the top 175-pound fighter in the world, Antonio Tarver, en route to a lopsided decision win. Hopkins announced his retirement immediately following his monumental accomplishment but shortly thereafter, decided he was still physically and mentally capable of fighting big fights against his elite peers. On July 21st, Hopkins will again look to show the world that age “ain’t nothin’ but a number” when he takes on Winky Wright.

The pride of St. Petersburg, Florida, 35-year old southpaw Winky Wright (51-3-1, 25 KOs) took the long road to boxing stardom. A standout amateur, Wright was forced to go overseas to get fights in the early part of his career, but it was in his opponents’ backyards that he learned the finer points of the game and developed the mental toughness that led him to the world junior middleweight title in 2001. Wright would defend his title six times (including two wins over Shane Mosley) before moving up to the middleweight division and nearly shutting out Felix Trinidad in 2005 in one of the most masterful performances in years. Two fights later, Wright would fight to a controversial draw with Jermain Taylor in a fight most believed he won, but with a win over former world champion Ike Quartey last December, Wright is back in the win column and ready for his showdown with ‘The Executioner.’

Boxing: Mayweather gets $10m offer to fight Hatton at Wembley

Ricky Hatton's promoter Dennis Hobson has upped the stakes in his bid to secure a super-fight with Floyd Mayweather by offering the American $10m [£5m] to come to Britain.
Hobson is convinced he can put together an offer to tempt "Pretty Boy" to come out of his short retirement to fight Hatton in the first big fight at the new Wembley Stadium. Mayweather has already said he would be willing to come back to fight Hatton, who looked hugely impressive in his fourth-round stoppage of Jose Luis Castillo in Las Vegas last weekend.
"I've offered Floyd $10m to come to Britain and find out who is the best pound-for-pound fighter in the world," Hobson said. "Mayweather is saying he wants to put pen to paper and this is his big chance to do so. It is a very substantial offer so if Mayweather is serious it is there for him to agree.
"I have already spoken to some of his people and they have been very receptive. Now I am just waiting for them to call back and indicate their level of interest." Hobson insists the expected huge attendance figures could bankroll the fight, for which Hatton would expect a similar-sized purse.
He added: "There's no reason we can't do it over here. We would be happy to align it with pay-per-view time in the States so it could suit both sides of the Atlantic."
Hobson, who is currently negotiating with Hatton to extend his own promotional contract, has revealed he has also been in talks with representatives of the International Boxing Federation light-welterweight champion Paulie Malignaggi. Hobson added: "Talks with Malignaggi's camp have been encouraging but that is definitely a Madison Square Garden fight. Ideally we would like to get the next one secured in this country for Ricky."
